This trip almost never got started for my wife and I. Trepidation was a serious obstacle for us. New situations, unfamiliar places, and being with people we do not know is not easy for us. I shared this with Teras and he convincingly assured me that he had us taken care of, we had nothing to worry about—and he was right. Traveling Germany and “spielen” Essen 2015 GNT-style was a magical trip.

Every day was an adventure and every day was a joy. Zak was a great guide--many times we forgot he was not just part of the group. The thoughtful way that the trip was arranged plus the total awesomeness of our new found friends, and the overall awesomeness of the German country and people made this one of our all-time favorite trips. We had an unforgettable experience.

We enjoyed and loved our trip to New York and the Comic Con (first time in the US), everyone in our tour group were great! It's so nice to hang out with ppl who enjoy the same things and good conversations that follow. Teras organised an amazing trip, we loved the day tour that showed us all around NY and geeky sites and the food was delicious. GNT made sure that we could navigate ourselves around NY, not only ordering cars to pick us up from the airport, but also organising metro passses that spanned the length of the tour so we could explore the city as we wished. Comic Con was amazing!!! So much to see and do, we loved every minute. We'd love to do another tour through GNT!

Above all, it's the people. I had tickets a couple of times to go out and do things back at the con if I needed...and I never needed it. I was always happy to spend another hour with the folks on the Tour instead. Cons are more fun when you have a friend with you, but I couldn't get any of the folks back home to do that...but we all were friends before the con itself officially began, and that meant we always had people to chat with how our day went, or whatever else.

So, my final suggestion? If you're going to do GenCon, and it's your first time, do the Tour. If you're going to do GenCon, and you're going alone, do the Tour. Otherwise...consider the Tour anyways. It's a bit more expensive, sure, but you get your money's worth.

Touring TREK filming sites in LA & VEGAS and then attending the VEGAS TREK convention was one of my best vacations ever--like attending an intense two week mobile convention!! From Larry geeking us out with insider Trek stuff to our enhanced tour of Paramount Studios, to Bobby Clark regaling us with details of his battle with Kirk, to hangin' with the other tour members and talking TREK, this was an experience I'll treasure for a ever.

It is always inspiring to meet people from all around the world united by a common interest.
Last but not least, I had a lot of fun!

One of the most fun adventures I have had in recent years. It was educational, fun and I got to meet a great group of people who shared my interest in Waterloo. Daily tours were very informative and enjoyable. After tour dinners and drinks were also splendid. It was nice to spend time with like-minded people.

You might be able to get a perfect organization, timing and comfort from other guided tours, but GNT has something truly unique: the 'geek' factor. People in this tour really made it from great to magical when you go alone and in ten minutes you find out they are like you, think like you and love this stuff like you've always done.

Thanks to Teras for the perfect organization, for creating an excellent atmosphere full of jokes and laughs, and specially, for bringing Barry as tour guide: his superb knowledge of the history, the battlefield and his sense of humour really gave it a quality edge from the rest of standar guided history tours.

Don't think twice for the next tour: the cost is worth the money.

I enjoyed this on so many levels. London, Games Day, Warhammer World, Bovington - all great days. This was as much (if not more), a dream trip. This was not about going to a gaming event. This was a holiday with other gamers. Huge difference. When this catches on (and it will catch on) people will recognize these trips as an opportunity to interact with other enthusiastic, dedicated, intelligent and thoughtful hobbyists. The venues are just scenery (terrain, if you will). The trip itself was the event, and I think that was what GNT was truly aiming for. It is normally difficult to say this but everyone on this trip was interesting. I will certainly be keeping in touch with many of these new friends.”

Well, I can definitely say the trip was memorable, I left a girlfriend and came back a fiancé, so that was a plus. The trip itself was fantastically organized, we made new friends, reunited with old friends and never had a dull moment! The best part was not having to worry about hotels and flights, which are especially tricky to arrange around that week in San Diego, unless you like paying an arm, a leg and your first born. Good prices, good people, I'll be doing this again for sure!
